I would really, really doubt buying one version of a game will ever give you access to the other versions from any company, let alone Blizzard.
For example, although I own the PC version of Diablo III, I would also buy it for my PS4 *if* I could import my characters from the PC game to the PS4. But you cannot. And it's likely you never will.
So how much less likely is it that owning version A of a game will give you access to version B or C for free? Not when they can make you buy it again, without shedding a tear for whatever you may think is fair.

For the same reason you've bought your favourite film on blu-ray even though you had a DVD version already. Different format = different product.

A better one would be you bought your favourite film for your sony blu ray player, and now have to buy it again for your samsung blu ray player, and another one for your lg blu ray player.

Maybe you should remember that not everyone including myself bought the game or played the beta and learned that their pc isn't powerful enough to even run the game. :/ With my current pc being a potato in comparsion to the big rigs our E-sport pros have, my grpahics card is so outdated I got a error message from Battle.net simply telling my my card isn't compatile with Overwatch. D:< So for Chrismas this year i'll be conning my parents into getting me a PS4 with Overwatch & Persona 5. :P And with the money i'll be getting from my soon to be job I'll save up for an $2,000 value computer. The only amount I should be paying over the 2 grand is for renting all the tools i'll need to put together my creation, or if it proves cheaper have a pro do it for me :P I got a friend whos done pc constuction before so probs force him to do it and maybe give him like $20 :P Friends are the best btw.
p.s. Why did you bother with reading all this? :P Maybe Blizzard can respect my williness to get better devices and give me a few lootboxes Ay lmao XD

^ it's not horrible he's just given a different view of it....
imo it's different platforms - Blizzard is trying to accommodate different types of players. Not all can play/like on PC/Console.
Look at me for example, I can't for the love of god play on console I hate the controllers and the stick. I prefer PC.
if you can't play on PC try PS4/3 or Xbox and i have met some players that can't or don't like to play on PC so they are on different platform.
